Little Caitlin was quite sick for the last 2 weeks; it was so sad to see her so quiet when we took her into hospital at midnight; the hospital was full of babies and children who were also sick. We really never think of how the other half of the world is spending their nights. She was diagnosed as having bronchillitis, and you could her her wheeze a foot away. She cried and cried when she had to undergo the nebuliser under the transparent box, and after all that prodding, and poking, and medication, she refused to eat anything that came near her with a spoon. To make it worse, she brought home a stomach flu bug which caused her to have diarrhoea up to 14 times a day, fever included. Finally, after 2 whole weeks, she ate her porridge and cereal yesterday! Her parents and everyone else, were elated. She came to stay for 2 days; we drove her to the beach for some fresh air, and she was talking to the kids and the leaves. We all had to wear masks, and while a few of us complained of not being able to breathe (!) no one was spared. We just can't take the risk of passing her another bug. 39.6 is pretty damn high. She still has a running nose and has to undergo the inhaler for another month. She screams when it's time to do it. She's on the mend, and we all hope she stays well.
Her mum is off to Shanghai tomorrow, and I thought I'd upload a video of her for Mish to catch. Caitlin misses you, Mummy!
