Phuket Once More

It was I think my fifth time in Phuket, and the charms still exist. There is nothing like a holiday to rejuvenate the spirit, and this being our family holiday, made it special.

We had the little rascal with us and she was really good, save for the sleepy times, when she would create quite the racket.

Here are a couple of photos of the flora at Club Andaman. We were supposed to stay at Burasari Resort, but surprised Mish and Edward by turning up at Club Andaman, where the Ollies happened to be, as well.

As for beach activities, Jamie said straight out that he would spend much of his time there.

while Mish and Tuff were rather hesitant due to the history of that sea. But lo and behold, once the sun block was on, off they went.

Tuffy and Mischa headed out to sea on a jet-ski piloted by Jamie, and while Tuff did the initial woo-hoo, Mischa's screaming could be heard in Bangkok.

More pix of fun at the beach -

Caitlin did not like the waves and the sand, (as seen here complaining to her Grandpa),

so she was put into the baby pool, surrounded my her cousins, uncle Rog and her grandpa who quite enjoyed the baby pool.

Her godma enjoyed some alone time at the pool too.

Mish wanted to order 1 set of 1-for-1 drinks but could not count (t'was the heat) amd ended up ordering 2 ...

Tuff also celebrated her birthday in Phuket, and Jamie smuggled in a cake - a mean feat, I might add, since he bought it while we were all together at the shopping centre.

To wrap up, shopping was good at Festival, but the streetside shopping was predictable and not so cheap any more. Needless to say, the food was great, especially with the mandatory addition of the prik nam pla and prik pon. Too soon, the trip ended, leaving us all a little sad.

Caitlin the little Einstein

Pet and I popped by on Saturday evening to play with the little minx. She was given her dose of the Einstein DVD and boy, was she glued. Like mother, like daughter.

She was so glued to the TV set that when Edward put a cushion in front of her, she shifted her body several times, left and right, to avoid missing her programme! With the ABCs done with, she proceeded to attempt a crawl. Perched on all fours, she did a shake forward and backward, forward and backward, arms firmly stuck to the ground, and finally, her bum pivoted her forward, to much cheering from Mischa. Grandpa of course added to the cacophony. Sorry, no photo, only a video; and I can't put it up yet.

Pepper was in the midst of all this, as usual, and found herself at the mercy of Caitlin, who attempted to pull her paw, and chew her head. Caitlin was swiftly dispatched to the bathroom, to brush her teeth.
